Get your drink on with these gaming cocktails

Ordering up a Flaming Hunter conjures up images of a man in plaid running around after sleeping too close to the fire. Or, a zombie coated in flames to those who have played Left4Dead. Recently, Official Xbox Magazine had a bar make up a few cocktails with gaming themed names and that inspired me to take a look back through the web for a few others.

OXM’s list of cocktails goes from the stomach churningly named Boomer Bile to the gravity-defying Poison Arrow. They’re all wonderfully photographed, but the Poison Arrow just doesn’t look pleasant.

The second set of drinks goes back to when Portal was all the rage, but there are definitely some winners there. The Cake is Not a Lie just sounds delicious, I’ve never had a drink that was half dessert, half cocktail.

Realizing gamers can fill a bar with the right coercion, a club in Copenhagen has hosted several game-themed nights for the local college. The bar was kind enough to post drink recipes online for both its Mario night and Final Fantasy night I doubt any local bars will be throwing their staffs in costume for a Friday night any time soon, but being a fan of Yoshi, I’m going to have to try that one out.

There are plenty of other game cocktail lists out there, but these just happened to be among the best. And you can always add your own to the list.
