New content coming for Fallout 3 and Fable 2
The run and gun approach shared by most video game developers leaves little support content beyond the initial release and maybe a downloadable expansion. This kills the replay value of many otherwise worthy games.
That’s why it’s great to see teams from Lionhead Studios and Bethesda committed to continuing content for their current flagship games Fable II and Fallout 3, respectively. Both teams have new content on the way after successful content drops.
Lionhead’s See the Future expansion has the hero jumping around in time. The town of Oakvale is restored to its condition between Fable I and II, and brings two new major quests. One has the hero helping a knight by dressing in a series of costumes to depict the game’s monsters and villains. The other has the hero helping a town imprisoned in a snow globe escape their torment.
Some of the fun things they’re adding include new skins for the dog including a dalmatian and huskie.
Bethesda’s new content for Fallout 3 is Broken Steel where the hero continues his quest to destroy the Enclave’s forces and fight alongside the Brotherhood of Steel. The expansion will bring the level cap up from 20 to 30 and extend the main quest from the core game as this expansion takes place in the Capital Wastelands. From the new screenshots, it appears you’ll also be fighting alongside the giant robot from Iron Giant.
