Please don't steal the animals
Welcome back to the Sept. 24, 2009 edition of Florida’s Stupid. This week my lovely blog is dedicated to the third teenager police have arrested for stealing animals from the Palm Beach zoo.
What did he steal you ask? According the Associated Press, Magdiel Cortes, 18, stole four monkeys and a parrot.
Apparently the boy genius had plans to sell the animals on the black market.
A previous article from the Palm Beach Post, stated the three boys rode their bikes to the zoo with bolt cutters. And as if stealing wild, untamed animals isn’t enough, the boys stole a golf cart too.
Police found the animals behind a shed and returned them home. They should have a speedy recovery.
As for Cortes and his other exotic-animal-coveting comrades, next time just take a picture.
